Those people genuinely trigger me,

and since I drew them out, I was able to block them both,

and it seems like the issues with those two trying to bomb my ratings is over for the moment.

I've just been post more art, as you've noticed.

It's hard to keep up with like... getting folks up to date on what I do here as an artists.

It's not like this place gives me a place where I can like, organize lore and stuff.

But my other galleries DO have that. especially my Eka's gallery, which has so much of my lore stuff organized by character in their reference folder.

I saw someone talking shit about Eka's the other day, but it's like... I genuinely use it because it's got nice features.

I mean other than the obvious obsession the site is meant for.

First off

I rate my art by what is actually in the content.

I don't base my rating on the existence of fringe fetish communities.

Basically

Whoever has been editing my ratings has made it very clear what they enjoy and what they don't.

Essentially,

This bothers me.

Just because a feminine character has a large chest, doesn't make the picture sexual.

Especially when there is no anatomical correctness present.

And then just because someone gets really fat, or their mouth is open, they decided to label the content as "alot of adult themes" *

If you're going to rate something "alot of adult content" because someone's mouth is open, or their stomach got really fat because they ate or drank a lot,

then you probably should rate someone taking off their shoes as "a lot of adult content" too.

*(In fact, upon checking again, one of the pics that I left rated M, has had it's rating changed to a T rating.

What the heck is going on? I'm genuinely confused.

This new change leads me to believe that I'm correct rating a character with a large chest, a T rating.)

One's exposure to certain online communities should not affect the rating of the content in my art.

"I know a guy" is not an excuse to label non sexual subjects as "fetish" or "adult"

If this were the case, then any Sonic game that includes Rouge would be rated M,

any of the Shrek movies would be rated R. They're not. Shrek is PG.

Watch the beginning of Men in Black 2. That's a PG13 movie.

Bartok the Magnificent, infamous for the musical number "The Real Ludmilla" is rated G.

Mortal Kombat (1995), even with all the blood and gore is PG13.

I just dont feel comfortable with someone judging my content based on their exposure to fetish communities,

heaven forbid, they're judging my art that way because they enjoy it.

I want my silly cartoons to be respected, I wanna make silly cartoons like the ones I grew up with,

But having a skill level people clearly fetishize is just not fun.

I don't know where else to go with this, I'm basically rambling at this point.

I could easily just post whatever and leave it up to whoever,

but seeing my art labeled with something I didn't intend is just very uncomfortable to me.

I really don't like that.

I'm used to places where I'm able to actually control what I post, and tag only the tags that I chose to be the focus of what I made.

When there is someone behind the scenes saying "no this is actually what this is , you don't have a say in the matter"

It feels like abuse, it feels like sexual harassment.

And if it feels like it, 99% of the time, it just is.

YES. I'm well aware of the content Ratings and what is defined within them.

The main issue is the use of the word "Fetish"

Fetish is not a proper noun. It's an "object of desire"

Meaning, when you call something a fetish, you're just telling everyone "This is something that I get off to"

You can literally call EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN a fetish,

but that does not make the content you're looking at "fetish"

The use of this word is just wrong, and it's being used as a blanket term for "I know a guy, so i'm going to demand this gets a worse rating so I don't have to look at it"

I know several people who get horny for Gadget Hackwrench and Sally Acorn, but that doesn't mean every bit of media featuring these characters is fetish material.

The same goes for anything you decide is responsible for eliciting an ornery response in you.

I'm sorry if a certain subject affects you in a certain way,

But you have to understand. The fetish is not the subject.

The fetish is your desire for that subject.

What even does "sexualize" mean in this context?

Sexualize is a verb!

It's something you do. A character just looking a certain way is not "sexualized".

Being able to see a character's body is not "sexualized".

You looking at a character and feeling like you're attracted to them does not meant the character is "sexualized"

You, are the one that sexualizes something.

When you look at something and apply your desires to it, you sexualize that subject.

The use of the word in the rating system just feels gross.

It feels like I'm not allowed to make something that looks good. I'm not allowed to make something I think is funny, or something that is the artistic quality I make,

because if someone gets ornery feelings from what I make,

this person is going to blame me for the feelings they got and abuse the report system to attack me.

PPS:

I just finished getting a bunch of harassing comments from a 16 year old user, wanting to blame me for making content that they fetishize.

I am not responsible for the feelings you get towards subjects.

It's YOUR responsibility for controlling your emotions. NOT MINE.

Especially when it's content that's no different from something you'd watch on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon.

Especially when you literally admit to abusing the flagging system because of your nasty feelings towards my art.

This is just gross.

I feel gross.

I wish people like this would leave me alone.

but so much of what I've done is in a very incomplete state due to how real life treats me.

This place seems to favor things that are considered "complete" and it sort of makes me realize just how many projects I have open, in an incomplete state.
